LSBA Law School Mock Trial Competition
On April 7th and 8th, Special Counsel to the firm, Will French, coordinated and held on behalf of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section Council (for which he is the District 1 Representative) the 2006 LSBA Law School Mock Trial Competition.
Teams from Tulane University School of Law, Loyola Law School and LSU Law Center competed in trying a civil tort case over two days of fierce competition. The Mock Trial gave contestants an opportunity to test their mettle as litigators while simultaneously giving them the chance to hone their trial advocacy and witness preparations skills. These skills will serve the competitors well once they graduate and become litigators in private or public practice. Partner, Lori Mince, of the firm’s litigation section, served as a judge for the competition. In the end, Tulane took home the gold, and Loyola came in second place.
